As one of RAG’s fastest events to sell out last year, the 3 Peaks Challenge gives you the chance to conquer the three tallest mountains in Britain: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, all in 24 hours! A test of mental and physical, this event has been a popular challenge amongst the British hiking community for over 40 years.
Participants attempt to climb Ben Nevis in Western Scotland (4,409 ft), Scafell Pike in the Lake District (3,209 ft) and Snowdon in North Wales (3,560 ft), a total of 11,178 ft and 415 miles of driving. With a bit of hard work and dedication (and a good pair of walking boots) completing the 3 Peaks is a great way to raise money for a good cause. So if you want to test your limits whist catching some of Britain’s most beautiful scenery, why not sign up?
“Climbing the three highest peaks in the UK in under 24 hours has to be one of the most breath-taking experiences of my life. From the great communication and organisation provided by the challenge leaders, and being able to work both independently and as a team fundraising and mountaineering, the Three Peaks Challenge is a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone. Not only do I believe that it has taught me valuable skills for life, but it has also given me the opportunity to meet and make friends with like-minded people.” Louise Bridger, 2013 Participant
